Capricho Arabe, by Francisco Tarrega, is one of the most recognized Spanish guitar pieces. It’s qualities include mystery, beauty, and passion.
Tarrega is one of the most renowned classical guitar composers. He also wrote other popular pieces such as Recuerdos de la Alhambra, Lagrima, and Gran Vals.
Tarrega also arranged many pieces by other composers. One of his most well-known arrangements is Asturias-Leyenda by Isaac Albeniz. As a composer and arranger, he changed the course of Spanish guitar music. His music and arrangements remain popular today.
Capricho Arabe was written in 1888. Tarrega had recently explored northern Africa and the Andalusia region of Spain. Both regions were influenced by Muslim and other religious cultures. These travels heavily influenced Tarrega as he wrote this piece.
The piece is performed often in concert. And many guitarists, including Andres Segovia, Pepe Romero, and Manuel Barrueco have recorded the piece.

Great advise here. I find I am taking more time with the pieces than I would have in the past as I am focusing on the technique you have taught me. It is slower going at first but has fewer frustrations, is easier and sounds better in the end.
