She completed her neurology studies at Universidad de Chile, after that she went to Hospital Carlos Haya, Malaga, Spain to train with multiple sclerosis patients. To complete basic science training and complement the knowledge obtained in Spain, she went to McGill University, Canada, where she did her neuroimmunology fellowship. Today, she is the chief of the neuroimmunology unit at clinic Alemana de Santiago, where her main interest are inmune responses in clinical setting for multiple sclerosis patients.
