Trees would collapse before maturing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At\nfirst, it baffled them. After all, the situation was perfect. The\ntrees had all the nutrients they needed. There were no diseases or\nharsh elements. So why would they buckle under their own weight?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As\nit turns out, trees need the stress of wind. Responding to wind\nencourages trees to grow \u201cstress wood\u201d. And this is the wood\nwhich keeps them stable and upright, able to stretch out and seek\nmore sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Likewise, we wither and weaken without meaningful struggle. We thrive on challenge and creative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/polish-guitar-music-troubleshoot-tricky-spots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">problems<\/a>. These keep our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/curiosity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">minds<\/a> alive and spirits lifted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This doesn\u2019t mean it\u2019s all fun and games. In any given moment, it may be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/classical-guitar-technique-exercises-travel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">physically<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/frustrated-with-guitar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\">emotionally<\/a> taxing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But\novercoming obstacles and finding our way forward is what humankind\ndoes best. And most of us these days only get this chance when we\nchoose it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\nhave the option of living in what Frankl calls a \u201ctensionless\nstate\u201d. But for a fulfilling and personally meaningful life, we\nneed a worthy goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Music\nis such a goal. Guitar is a whetstone against which we can grind and\nhone ourselves ever sharper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through small <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/guitar-practice-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\">daily actions<\/a>, repeated over time, we reap the benefits of a life well-lived.
