We learn the new finger acrobatic exercises. We challenge ourselves in new ways and at new levels.<\/p>\n<p>And this is good. We need to ride the edge of \u201chard, but not too hard\u201d to get better. And this includes learning pieces that stretch us.<\/p>\n<p>But as we focus on the future and dive into large projects (or large for us, where we currently are), it\u2019s easy to forget what Schweitzer calls \u201cthe flowers that bloom at our feet\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>These are the treasures we can enjoy right now, in this moment.<\/p>\n<p>We can be grateful for the opportunity to explore such a beautiful instrument, and such beautiful music. We can note the joys of feeling our fingers on the strings. We can relish the current \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/classicalguitarshed.com\/polish-guitar-music-troubleshoot-tricky-spots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">problem<\/a>\u201d or challenge.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to become so focused on the end result, that we forget to actually hear the <a href=\"https:\/\/classicalguitarshed.com\/classical-guitar-tone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sound<\/a> coming out of our instrument.<\/p>\n<p>This is a duality we can work on.
