{"id":132031,"date":"2014-08-12T01:10:49","date_gmt":"2014-08-12T08:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/?p=132031"},"modified":"2024-07-03T03:47:08","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T10:47:08","slug":"pieces-arpeggios-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/classicalguitarshed.com\/pieces-arpeggios-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Using the Arpeggio Patterns in Your Classical Guitar Pieces"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hi Reader: If you are new to CGS, welcome and thanks for stopping by. \u00a0This post is part of a larger (free) course on playing arpeggios on the classical guitar. \u00a0You may want to explore the main <a href=\"https:\/\/classicalguitarshed.com\/how-to-learn-classical-guitar-arpeggios-right-hand-technique\/\">arpeggio course page<\/a> first, so you understand the references I make in the video and article. \u00a0You could also <a title=\"Start Here\" href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/start-here\/\">start here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"centerc\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xibK1OcdbRs?rel=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;autohide=1\" width=\"700\" height=\"393\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h1>Using the arpeggio patterns in real pieces!<\/h1>\n<p>Arpeggios\u00a0on the classical guitar are a big subject for guitarists. \u00a0They are part of an ongoing technique workout that we all should be doing if we are to reach our potential as musicians and guitarists.<\/p>\n<p>But we can&#8217;t just practice them as abstract exercises. \u00a0Eventually, we need to be able to use the movements we practice in our actual pieces of music.<br \/>\nThis video shows how to hunt through your pieces and find examples of the primary arpeggio patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Often, there will be a primary pattern, a note or two that use alternation, and then perhaps another of the primary patterns.<\/p>\n<p>In real music, it isn&#8217;t always simple and easy. \u00a0But by identifying the primary arpeggio patterns, you can create a framework that you can use to maintain good technique, <a title=\"Fundamental Concepts of Classical Guitar Technique\" href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/basics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hand position<\/a>, and tone.<\/p>\n<p>This also helps you to <a title=\"50 Ways To Test Your Musical Memory\" href=\"https:\/\/www.classicalguitarshed.com\/musical-memory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">memorize pieces<\/a> faster.
